illustrativeman's recent photos <b>Hello and welcome to my web-site.</b> During the day I work as a mild mannered systems engineer for a fairly large software house in San Diego. When the workday ends I begin to work on what I really enjoy. I have been fascinated by photography, graphic art and programming for as long as I can remember. It wasn't until recently that I found a way to fuse them all into what I like to call "photo-unrealism". All my work begins with one or more photographs. From there I begin the transformation. My tools of choice are: a Canon D10; Wacom Graphire tablet; Epson 1200 dpi scanner; a nifty little package called Gertrudis; Povray and, of course, Photoshop. Currently, I'm very interested in taking the ordinary, mundane if you will, and turning it into something that will grab your eyes and hopefully cause you to take a longer look at the world around you. Every one of the images on my site is designed to be properly viewed at a much large dimension than what your monitor is capable of displaying. Needless to say an actual print is several orders of magnitude more dramatic than what you will see here.
